A Royal Legacy
Nestled in the heart of Madhya Pradesh, the historic town of Chanderi has been the cradle of India's most exquisite handloom tradition. Known for its glossy transparency and lightweight feel, Chanderi fabric was once the exclusive choice of royalty and aristocrats.
The craft achieved its peak under the patronage of the Scindia family, who encouraged weavers to experiment with fine silk and intricate gold zari motifs.
